Life is Lemons Counseling is a trade name of Life is Lemons LLC, a Colorado counseling practice owned by Cora Bergstrom, LPC, LAC, NCC. This page explains what the practice learns about you through this website, text messages, and email, and what it does with that information.

Text messages

Texting (719) 642-8436 is the main way to reach the practice. When you text that number:

  • The practice receives your phone number and what you write. Both are used only to reply to you, arrange a free consultation call, and schedule or change appointments.
  • Texts come from Cora in reply to you. The practice does not send marketing or promotional texts.
  • Message frequency varies with your conversation. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or call (719) 642-8436.
  • No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Texting is convenient but not a secure channel. Please keep messages brief and save personal details for our conversation.

This website

The site has no forms or accounts and does not ask for your name or contact details. It uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies, to count visits: the pages viewed, the type of device and browser, the general area a visit comes from, and how visitors found the site. That information is used only to understand how the site is working. There is no advertising and no selling of visitor data. You can block cookies in your browser or use Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services, which handles the technical details any website needs in order to deliver a page, such as your IP address and browser type.

Email

If you email the practice, your address and message are used only to reply. Please don't send clinical details by email.

If you become a client

Your counseling records, forms, and payments are kept in the practice's secure electronic health record system and are protected by federal privacy law (HIPAA) and Colorado law. Before your first session you'll receive the Notice of Privacy Practices and Colorado's required disclosure statement, which explain how your health information is protected and what your rights are. This page does not replace them. The practice does not see or keep your full card number; card payments are handled by the payment processor built into the health record system.

What the practice never does

  • Sell or rent your information.
  • Share your phone number, email address, or messages with anyone for marketing.
  • Add you to a mailing list or send you texts you didn't ask for.
